Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Neurophysiologist to join our perfusion team. In this role, you will play a critical part in understanding and maintaining the physiological and neurological integrity of heads and brains during ex vivo perfusion. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will help ensure that our perfusion systems support optimal brain function and viability.
Key Responsibilities
Neurophysiological Monitoring: Develop and implement protocols for monitoring brain activity and neurological health during ex vivo perfusion.
Research & Analysis: Conduct research on neurophysiological responses to perfusion conditions and analyze data to inform system improvements.
System Integration: Collaborate with biomedical engineers and other team members to integrate neurophysiological monitoring systems into the perfusion setup.
Optimization: Identify and apply strategies to optimize neurological preservation and function during perfusion processes.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of neurophysiological assessments, research findings, and project milestones to support regulatory submissions and ongoing development.
Collaboration: Work closely with neuroscientists, software engineers, and regulatory specialists to ensure comprehensive integration of neurophysiological aspects into the perfusion systems.
Qualifications
Education: Ph.D. in Neurophysiology
Experience:
Proven experience in neurophysiological research or clinical settings.
Familiarity with brain perfusion techniques and technologies is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in neuroimaging and neuromonitoring tools and techniques.
Strong understanding of brain physiology and neurobiology.
Experience with data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R).
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
