Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Biomedical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and testing our ex vivo normothermic perfusion systems. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will help bring this transformative technology from concept to implementation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Create detailed designs and prototypes for ex vivo normothermic perfusion systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, and scalability.

  • Research & Integration: Incorporate current advancements in perfusion technology, biomedical engineering, and related fields to enhance system capabilities.

  • Testing & Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive testing protocols to ensure system performance, safety, and efficacy.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including neuroscientists, software engineers, and regulatory specialists, to integrate all system components seamlessly.

  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, testing procedures, and project milestones to support regulatory submissions and future development.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Ph. D. in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field

  • Experience:

    • Demonstrated experience in medical device development, particularly with perfusion systems or related technologies.

    • Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) for medical devices.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for device design.

    • Understanding of fluid dynamics, tissue engineering, and physiological monitoring systems.

    • Experience with prototyping and iterative design processes.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
