Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Biomedical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and testing our ex vivo normothermic perfusion systems. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will help bring this transformative technology from concept to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development: Create detailed designs and prototypes for ex vivo normothermic perfusion systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, and scalability.
Research & Integration: Incorporate current advancements in perfusion technology, biomedical engineering, and related fields to enhance system capabilities.
Testing & Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive testing protocols to ensure system performance, safety, and efficacy.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including neuroscientists, software engineers, and regulatory specialists, to integrate all system components seamlessly.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, testing procedures, and project milestones to support regulatory submissions and future development.
Qualifications
Education:
Ph. D. in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in medical device development, particularly with perfusion systems or related technologies.
Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) for medical devices.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for device design.
Understanding of fluid dynamics, tissue engineering, and physiological monitoring systems.
Experience with prototyping and iterative design processes.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative mindset.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
