About CyberHuman

At CyberHuman, we are dedicated to transcending the boundaries of human existence through advanced technology. Our vision is to achieve cybernetic immortality, ensuring that the essence of humanity endures beyond biological limitations. As a forward-thinking venture studio, we incubate and accelerate innovative projects that redefine possibilities in biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and cybernetics.

One of our key initiatives focuses on developing ex vivo normothermic perfusion systems for maintaining organs and particularly heads and brains in optimal homeostasis. Leveraging current advancements in organ preservation, perfusion technology, and synthetic blood development, this project aims to revolutionize organ transplantation, preservation, and cognitive longevity.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Hematologist to join our perfusion team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing synthetic blood formulations specifically designed to maintain and support the neurological integrity of heads and brains during ex vivo perfusion. Your expertise will be crucial in defining the biochemical and physiological components necessary for sustaining brain function and viability outside the human body.

Key Responsibilities

  • Synthetic Blood Development: Design, develop, and refine synthetic blood formulations tailored for ex vivo perfusion of heads and brains, ensuring optimal oxygen delivery, nutrient transport, and waste removal.

  • Component Definition: Determine and define the essential components and additives required in synthetic blood to support neurological health, including electrolytes, buffers, growth factors, and anti-inflammatory agents.

  • Perfusion Solution Optimization: Continuously improve perfusion solutions by integrating the latest research in hematology and neurobiology to enhance brain preservation and function.

  • Research & Innovation: Conduct cutting-edge research on blood substitutes, their interactions with brain tissues, and their effects on neurophysiological parameters during perfusion.

  • System Integration: Collaborate with biomedical engineers and neurophysiologists to incorporate synthetic blood systems seamlessly into the overall perfusion setup, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.

  • Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce stringent protocols for testing and validating synthetic blood formulations, ensuring they meet safety and efficacy standards.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of synthetic blood formulations, experimental data, research findings, and project milestones to support regulatory submissions and future advancements.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neuroscientists, biomedical engineers, and regulatory specialists, to ensure the holistic integration of synthetic blood into the perfusion systems.

Qualifications

Education: Medical Doctor (MD) with a specialization in Hematology. Board certification preferred.

Experience

  • Proven experience in hematology, preferably within clinical or research settings related to blood preservation, synthetic blood development, or perfusion systems.

  • Familiarity with ex vivo perfusion technologies and organ preservation techniques is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of blood physiology, transfusion medicine, and hematological assays.

  • Experience in developing or working with synthetic blood products.

  • Proficiency in using hematology-related laboratory equipment and software for data analysis (e.g., Flow Cytometry, Hematology Analyzers).

  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R) for interpreting hematological and synthetic blood data.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Why Join CyberHuman?

  • Impact: Contribute to pioneering technology aimed at redefining human longevity and cognitive preservation.
